I am using this means to inform you all of the loss of another classmate.  Margaret Porter,  as we knew her in school, passed away on March 29, 2011.

I received a phone call from Henry Brown our classmate and her brother-n-law.  I offered my condolences to the family at their lost.

At this writing I don't have any further information at this time. I will update as information becomes available.

Doris Jacobs Stokes is currently in a nursing home/rehabilitation center on Dunn Avenue here in Jacksonville.  Let keep her in our prayers for a full and speedy recovery.

There are other classmates that are experiencing various health issues at this time.

May God bless and keep us all is my prayer.

Last evening I received a phone call from Hurbert Toler.  He informed me of the lost of his brother over a week ago.  He apologized for not letting me know sooner.  I can understand how it is to lose a love one.  Things get out of the norm and you can't think about all that needs to be done until some time has passed.  I assured him that we will keep he and his family lifted up in prayer for strength and acceptance of God's will in thier life concerning the passing of his brother.

I haven't heard what the current condition of Oliver Smith's father.  We are to keep him lifted for strenght as he assist in the care of his father.  I understand that his father is well up in age.

If any of you know of anyone that is in need of special prayer for currently or ongoing situations let me know so that I can make it know to our prayer warriors of the class.

Lets keep Patricia and family in prayer during their hour of berievement.

We have additional classmates that are in need of our prayers for their situations whether they be medical, physical, emotional or financial.  We don't know all things, lets just keep our entire class lifted up in prayer.

JUNE 1, 2010

I don't have any updates, praise reports or newly discovered prayerful situations to share at the current writing.

I do ask that we continute to keep our class members lifted up in prayer. Prayer for unity within the Body Of Christ.

If you are not currently in a crisis its because you have just come out of one or you are headed into one. Let us remember to look up pass our problems to an All Wise God our father who see and knows all.  Trust him for he knows the answer and if we let him he will lead us to it.

To God be the glory through his son Jesus Christ.

To all Yellow Jackets in the class of 65,

During the recent week while contacting classmates inquiring as to their intent to participate in our upcoming class reunion, it has been brought to my attention that many of our fellow classmates are under attack in many areas of our lives.  We all are experiencing events in life that are not always welcomed or pleasant. Our battles are not our to fight but we must cast them at the feet of Jesus. No matter how bleak the situation may appear. Prayer is the one thing that I know will work in every situation.  There is strenght in numbers. I am appealing to those of you who believe in the power of prayer to join me in interceding on the behalf of all of our classmates.  By doing so we will have prayed for all of us.

April 4, 2010

Fellow Yellow Jackets, I was not aware of Gloria Lewis Young losing her father in a timely manner thus you were not made aware either.  It is never too late to offer up a prayer for strength for those of us who have lost loveones. Also lift Gloria's friend Francis up as well, they laid his brother to rest this past Saturday.

Please add Juanita Promise Foreman's husband to your prayer list. He has had two recent hospital stays and is currently recovering.

Bertha Wynn Cromarity is scheduled to undergo two knee replacement surgeries a week apart.

Lets continue to keep all of our classmates and their family members lifted up in prayer.

Praying for others will take our minds off of our personal situations. Through prayer for other sometimes we our situations are taken care of and we are then able to give praise and thanks to the ALMIGHTY who hears and answers all prayers and supplications.

I am going to insert a letter I received from one of our classmates. I have been in prayer for him and his battle. Please pray for his family as well.

I spoke with Anna Mike Durham this morning and she asks that I let the class know that she is out of the hospital and needs the prayers of the prayer worriors for her continued recovery.

Received a text message from Rosemary Butler Thornton today.  She states that all is well with her at the present time.  Thanks for your continued prayers on her behalf.

Had a chat with Gene Watson and found out that he is encountering some health problems as well.  Please keep he and his wife in prayer.

It gives me great pleasure to report that Willie Williams has been released from the hospital. Have not had direct with he or his wife. No information on his current condition.  Hospital information is the source of this update.

I have spoken with Jeanette G Harrison and she is recovering from her recent shoulder surgery. As she stated the pain get a little less with each passing day.

We are giving God the praise for all that he does in our lives.

Kenneth spoke with Michael today and report that he is progressing at a rapid rate.  Mike is looking forward to returning to his church.  He plans to walk in and not rolling in a wheel chair. Spoke with a strong voice and assurance.

God has shown favor in his case and showered him with new mercies every day.  Thanks be to God for hearing and answering our prayers.

Celebration of Clarence Dixon's life will be held Saturday 2-6-10 at 1:00pm at the Northside Church of Christ located on Avenue B at the railroad.

Any of the classmates that are local and available are asked to plan to attend to represent the class and show fellowship in the lost of one of our own.

Prayer goes forth for the family at this hour as they get through this period of grief.

She sends thanks to all for your prayers and concerns during those trying times with her brother's illness.

Fellow Yellow Jackets,

One of our former classmates lost her mom today. Jacquelyn Thomas Habersham lost her mom on her birthday. I don't have a good contact number for her at this writing. I will secure it and share with you as soon as possible

Please keep her in your prayers during this time of sorrow.

I received  a phone call from Michael Thomas today. He called to thank us for our prayers and concerns that have been ushered up to God through Jesus Christ for his recovery and restoration to normal use of limbs affected by the stroke he suffered during  the month of October.

I solicate your continued prayers for Anna Mike and Rosemary Butler as they are receiving treatments for their conditions.

There might be others we are not aware of that need our prayers for their life situations. Let us continue to keep all class members covered in prayer.

Hi Claryce,
I spoke with Mike last night. He sounds strong and is able to articulate. He is still recovering from paralysis and is very hopeful and positive. I let him know that he remains in our thoughts and prayers. He expressed his gratitude and sent his greetings.

Please update for me. Thanks

Anna Mike Durham is continuing to seek the medication prescribed by the doctor to improve her current condition. She states that all is well and she sounds positive and upbeat during our conversations.

We will continue to seek God's will in her life as it pertains to her health and physical well-being.

It addition, I spoke with Rosemary Butler Thornton on yesterday. She is in need of our prayers for her medical state the she is encountering at the current time.  We know and acknowledge God as being all wise and all powerful.

We must trust him and stand on his promises he made to his people.

I spoke with Ruth, Michael Thomas' wife last evening also. She was just leaving the hospital for the day. She states that he is holding his own. It is an uphill climb for him but we know that what God has ordained for our lives will come to past.

Continue to pray for him and all others that you are aware in the need of prayer. We do have some class members that rather keep their encounters private and I respect that, but there is strength in united prayer.

It is not necessary for us to know what the exact condition is, we only need to know that there is a special need.

I don't have any additional information as to the condition of Jackie's Gilliard brother as of this writing.

Haven't spoken with Barbara Champion lately but I will try and reach her for an update on her condition.

Spoke with Michael Thomas's wife. He is doing better. He has some cognitive challenges because of the brain operation, but he is improving. I let her know that we are keeping him in our prayers.

November 27 2009

Please add Barbara Champion Jenkins to your list of classmates that we are lifting up in prayer.  Barbara is home recovering after a hospital stay.  She says that she is mending and did request prayer for her rapid recovery.
